Cultivation & Harvest

Frozen Vino proves to be a rewarding hybrid of moderate size in the grow room. The plants grow bushy and sturdy – the Indica dominance of Modified Grapes (80% Indica) is evident in their growth habit. At the same time, the Gush Mint genes ensure vitality and resilience. The flowering time is approximately 8–9 weeks, so you won't have to wait forever for your frozen grapes. What's immediately noticeable is that Frozen Vino smells exceptionally strong even during the grow period. Filters are therefore a must if discretion is a priority. The strain prefers a moderate climate – neither too hot nor too cold. Indoors, it thrives at temperatures of 20–26°C, and outdoors, it thrives in mild, not too rainy summers. In terms of nutrient requirements, Frozen Vino is moderately demanding; a normal amount of fertilizer for hybrids is sufficient; overfertilization will result in dark foliage. In terms of yield, you can look forward to stable, medium-sized harvests. Modified Grapes is known for delivering good yields of top quality. Gush Mints improves bud density and resin production—so you'll end up with jars full of compact, heavy buds that look as if they've been candied. A tip: During the last two weeks of flowering, lower the night temperatures slightly (if possible), as this will further enhance the purple colors and potentially increase terpene production. Growing this strain is super easy: no diva, but a reliable yielder.

Optics & Size

Frozen Vino grows into a compact, bushy plant that at first glance appears inconspicuously green—until flowering begins. Then a true riot of color unfolds: As the buds ripen, they change color from a rich green to a deep purple, shimmering almost blackish-purple in places (thanks, Purple Punch genes!). In between, the bright orange flower hairs stand out sharply, reminiscent of the amber color of a fine wine. The trichomes coat the buds so densely that they look as if they were sprinkled with sugar. Many of the trichomes have a slightly milky to amber-colored head—an indication of full ripeness and potency. The individual calyxes are rather large and slightly tapered, giving the buds a jagged appearance. If you rub a dried Frozen Vino bud between your fingers, even the crumbs glisten with resin – a dream for anyone who enjoys hash or rosin. The plant reaches around 100 cm in height indoors, with numerous lateral branches. The leaves are dark green, sometimes streaked with purple veins, and relatively broad. Towards the end of flowering, the leaf tips can take on a hint of yellow/red, as if experiencing a slight "autumn" effect. Overall, Frozen Vino lives up to its name: a frozen grape appearance paired with an elegance reminiscent of fine wine. Each bud is a small work of nature – almost too beautiful to crush… but only almost!
